Our open recipe policy
Japanese green tea, especially Matcha, is a great ingredient for cooking and baking. Matcha flavoured ice creams rank in the third position as the most favourite ice cream of Japanese people, next to vanilla and chocolate.
BASSARO provides various recipes using green tea and special brewing techniques on this page. All of them can be used freely under the condition of Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License.
You can arrange our recipes and, of course, use other brands of Japanese green tea than our products. But we would like to point one thing.
Most of the recipes on this pages use Matcha and powdered green tea (see the difference of them). Some matcha & powdered green tea products in the market, - often display "Matcha for baking", contain Chlorella to make the colour nicer green. Those products look and taste similar to real Matcha, but totally smell different. They have not got any aroma, so that the cooking cannot become rich. We must beg you to avoid using these kind of products for our recipes.
